Dr. Matthew Weiner graduated from the University of Michigan medical school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He completed his general surgery residency at New York University Hospital in New York City. With over 4,000 bariatric surgeries and 20+ years of experience, he is the creator of the Pound of Cure Weight Loss Program and author of three published books on weight loss.

Zoë joined the Pound of Cure team in 2021. She graduated from the University of Arizona with her B.S. in Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences and completed her dietetic internship at Tucson Medical Center, where she first met Dr. Weiner. She has also earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Nutrition and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She co-hosts the Pound of Cure Podcast and leads the nutrition program, including the Metabolic Reset Diet.

Deidre Schodroski, FNP, RNFA

Nurse Practitioner and Surgical Assist

Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Deidre assists Dr. Weiner in the operating room and is an integral part of your preoperative and postoperative care. Deidre also provides non-surgical weight loss services.

Sierra earned her MBA from the University of Arizona and BS in Public Health Management and Policy from Oregon State University.
