Common Questions

GLP-1 Cost & Coverage FAQs

How much does GLP-1 medication cost with Medicare?
Starting July 1, 2026, eligible Medicare Part D patients pay a flat $50 monthly medication copay through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, plus our $33/month program fee (billed $99 quarterly). All-in, that is about $83 a month, plus visit copays. No deductible applies to the medication.
Does AHCCCS cover GLP-1 medications?
AHCCCS does not cover GLP-1s for weight loss alone, but it covers them for qualifying medical conditions, most notably metabolic liver disease (MASH). A simple blood test tells us whether this covered pathway applies to you. If it does, there is no program fee.
What if my insurance denies GLP-1 coverage?
A denial is not the final answer. Our insurance specialists file appeals with supporting documentation and navigate step therapy requirements. If coverage truly is not available on your plan, our cash program provides FDA-approved GLP-1 therapy for about $200-$225 a month, all-in.
How much is GLP-1 medication without insurance?
Our cash program is about $200-$225 a month, all-in: FDA-approved medication, individual dietitian appointments, health coaching, the full Loli app, and provider visit copays are all included. Compare that to $1,000-$1,600 a month for brand-name medication at retail.
What does the program fee cover?
The program fee covers unlimited individual appointments with Zoë, our registered dietitian, access to Terri, our health coach, the full Loli app with photo food logging, and expert prior authorization completion. If we are in network with your insurance, it is $99 every 3 months plus standard visit copays. If we are out of network with your insurance company (for example, Aetna or Cigna), it is $75 a month and includes all provider visits, with no visit copays.
Do you offer telehealth across Arizona?
Yes. We see patients by telehealth anywhere in Arizona, including Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Yuma, and in person at our Tucson office. New non-surgical patients must be Arizona residents.
Do you prescribe compounded semaglutide?
No. We prescribe only FDA-approved GLP-1 medications. Our physician-supervised program makes brand-name, FDA-approved therapy affordable without resorting to compounded alternatives.
